Navigating Avail’s Account Verification Process
Account Verification Process
Avail has introduced a mandatory verification process based on Gitcoin Passport to prevent spam and to ensure testnet tokens are distributed in a fair manner. If you are not already a member of the Avail community, please join the Avail Discord server first.
The following guide will show you how to verify your Gitcoin Passport with Avail and how to link your Gitcoin verified wallet to your Discord account.

Visit the Avail Faucet Verification Page
To get started, please visit the Avail Faucet Verification page.
Connect Wallet
Please click on “Connect Wallet” to connect your wallet with the verificaiton page. Make sure you connect the wallet that holds a Gitcoin Passport with a score of at least 20. Several different wallet provides, such as MetaMask are supported.
Authorize Sign In
In the next step, your wallet provider will ask you to verify that you wish to connect your wallet to the Avail verification page. Please click on “Sign In” to accept the connection request and to continue.
Connect Discord Account
If you have successfully connected your wallet, you will see your linked wallet address on the top right-hand corner of the page. The UI will then ask you to connect your Discord account in the next step.
Please do so by clicking on “Connect Discord.” Review the message prompt and if you agree with it, please click “Authorize”.
Submit Gitcoin Passport
Once both your wallet address and your Discord account are connected to the verification page, you can click on “Submit Gitcoin Passport” to finish the verification process.
Request Role
In the last step, all that is left to do is to click on the “Give role” button. Doing so will automatically assign the verified-faucet role to your linked Discord ID.
